He graduated from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) with a degree in Advertising and holds a Google Partner qualification. Additionally, he has served as a judge for the CAANZ Media Awards in 2012, 2013, and 2016, and the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) Awards in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

New Zealand’s Top 10 Favourite Ads of November 2022

Every three months, TRA, in partnership with ThinkTV, surveys regular New Zealanders to find out which ads are resonating and which creative is going the distance.

The survey asks a nationally representative sample of over 1,000 people a simple, unprompted question; “What is your  favourite ad on TV at the moment?” We also ask them why they like it and how it makes them feel.

The most frequently mentioned favourites make up our top ten list.

For linear Television and Radio, 15-second ads typically deliver greater reach and frequency, while also unlocking more bonus inventory from networks. In contrast, BVOD 30-second rates are often similar to 15-second rates — making 30-second ads the more effective choice.
Positioning Television and Radio adverts first in break can improve performance by up to 40%.
Half-page newspaper adverts deliver strong page presence at an efficient rate
Newspapers and magazines offer regional inserts to precisely target specific communities.
